Sybil Cantrell Shelnutt, 71, passed away at her home Tuesday, November 28, 2017.
A native of Greer, Greenville County, a daughter of the late Bill Cantrell and her late mother, Pearl Sloan Dickerson, she was a retired employee of JP Stevens Textiles and Greenville County School District.
Additionally, she was a dedicated volunteer for various church banks in the area, an advocate for animals, loved her beloved dogs over the years and a member of Southside Baptist Church. She was loved very much and will be greatly missed.
Surviving:
She is survived by one brother Mack Cantrell (Judy); one sister, Betty Elder; a sister in Christ, Ida Anderson; many nieces and nephews and two step-sons, Michael Howard and Phillip Howard.
In addition to her mother and father, she was predeceased by her longtime companion, Calvin Howard and one sister, Barbara Brackett.
Funeral Services:
Funeral services will be held 11:30 a.m. Saturday, December 2, 2017 at The Wood Mortuary conducted by Rev. Wayne Davis and assisted by Deacon Bob Brackett.
Visitation will be held 10:00-11:15 a.m. Saturday at the mortuary.
