Thomas Stokes Wooten, 69, of 528 Barnett Road, died Feb. 9, 2015 after a long battle with cancer with his family by his side.
A native of Greer, son of the late Walter and Etta Stokes Wooten, he was a retired employee of Flour Daniel and Ameco Division of Flour Corp., a US Air Force Veteran and a member of Apalache Baptist Church where he was a deacon and a Sunday School teacher.
Surviving are his wife, Judy Peace Wooten of the home; one daughter, Dena Wooten Lindsey (Steve) of Travelers Rest; two sons, Brannon Thomas Wooten (Julie Gibbs) of Landrum and Craig Wooten (Julie McKinney) of Campobello; two brothers, Elliott Wooten (Shirley) and Jim Wooten all of Blue Ridge and four grandchildren, Stephen Wooten, Clay Smith, Noah Lindsey and Isabella Lindsey.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Thursday at Apalache Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Eddie Cooper and Rev. Butch Howard. Burial will follow in Wood Memorial Park.
Visitation will be held 6:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday at Wood Mortuary.
