Willard Michael Lemmons, 84, widower of Mary Lou Emma Morris Lemmons, passed away January 15, 2023.

A native of Greenville, a son of the late Leon Alford and Alice Mason Lemmons, he was a U.S. Navy veteran, a retired weaver with J.P. Stevens, and of the Baptist faith.

Surviving:

Surviving are one daughter, Kelly Lynn Wilson (Jimmy) of Piedmont; two grandchildren, Gaysha Amanda Thrasher and Wanda Alexander (Amy); and six great-grandchildren, Haley Alexander, Katelyn Alexander, Hayven Alexander, Hayden Alexander, Shylan Thrasher and Connor Thrasher.

He was also predeceased by two sons, Willard Leon Lemmons and Michael Dale Phillips; three brothers, Clarence Lemmons, Harold Lemmons and Bobby Lemmons; and one sister, Shirley Blackwell.

Funeral Services:

A funeral service will be held 3:30 p.m. Saturday, January 21, 2023, at The Wood Mortuary Chapel conducted by Rev. Chris Harrison with webcasting available at www.thewoodmortuary.com.

Burial will follow in Wood Memorial Park.

Visitation will be held 6 - 8:00 p.m. Friday, January 20, 2023, at The Wood Mortuary.

Pallbearers will be Steve West, Jacob Fulmer, James Rollins, Connor Thrasher, Cody Coake and Ethan Mauldin.
