William (Bill) King Bomar, husband of Rosemary Heath Bomar, passed away on Tuesday, October 21, 2014 at his home.

A resident of Greer, S.C., he was born October 21, 1951 in Duncan, S.C., son of the late William Carroll and Maude King Bomar.

A graduate of Clemson University, he was a retired teacher of agricultural education and science at James F. Byrnes High School in Duncan, S.C.

After his retirement from education, he enjoyed making floral deliveries for McKown's Florist, Greer, S.C.

He was a member of Memorial United Methodist Church, Greer, S.C.

Surviving:

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Emily Bomar Watson, her husband Phil Watson and granddaughter Anna Claire Watson; and a sister, Cindy Bomar Miller, her husband Chris Miller, nephew Charlie Miller and niece Savannah Miller.

Funeral Services:

Following a private burial at Ramsey Creek Nature Preserve, Westminster, S.C., a memorial service will be held on Sunday, October 26, 2014 at 4:00 p.m. in the chapel of The Wood Mortuary, 300 W. Poinsett St., Greer, S.C.

The family will receive friends from 2:30-3:45 p.m. prior to the service.

The family expresses thanks to Dr. Patrick Culumovic and Dr. Joe Stephenson and their staff, and to the staff of Interim Home Care and Open Arms Hospice for their attentive care.
