Police called to Greer High School to investigate threatening message

Students evacuated for short time, return to classes at 9:35 a.m.

Greer High School was evacuated as a precautionary measure for a short time this morning when a student found writing on a wall relating to an alleged bomb threat and reported it to school officials.

Greer Police Lt. Jim Holcombe said school officials made the call to evacuate the students. They returned to class at 9:35 a.m.

Additional school resource officers were sent to the school to interview students.
