Restaurants are honoring vets with specials
Restaurants are honoring vets during Veterans Day weekend with complimentary meals or specials.

Be prepared to have proof of military service, which can include a VA Universal Access Card, Military ID, DD-214 (Discharge Papers), Veterans Service Organization Card (VSO's include groups like the VFW, DAV, AmVets, MOAA, FRA, and the American Legion), a state-issued ID that shows veteran status or in some cases businesses will accept a picture of the veteran in uniform, according to military.com.

The list, in alphabetical order:

Some franchise locations may not participate in the company’s Veterans Day programs. We suggest calling ahead and if you want to visit a restaurant not listed here to call and inquire if they are offering veterans a discount.

Applebee’s – Veterans and active duty military receive a free meal from a limited menu, on November 11.

Back Yard Burgers – On November 11, active duty service members and veterans get a free Back Yard Classic Burger.

Bob Evans – Veterans and active military personnel receive a free meal from a select menu on November 11.

Bonanza Steakhouses – Veterans and active duty military get a free buffet on November 11.

Bruegger’s Bagels – Veterans and active duty military members get a free small drip coffee on November 11 at participating locations.

Buffalo Wild Wings – Veterans and active duty military personnel receive one small order of wings and a side of fries for free on November 11.

California Pizza Kitchen – Veterans and active military receive a free entrée from a special menu on November 11.

Chicken Salad Chick – On November 10, veterans and active duty military receive a free Chick Meal and a drink.

Chipotle – Active duty, National Guard, and retired military, military spouses with ID, and veterans get a buy-one-get-one (BOGO) deal from 5 p.m. to close on November 7.

Chuck E. Cheese’s – Military veterans get one free personal 1-topping pizza on November 11.

Cicis Pizza – Get a free pizza buffet with Military ID on November 11.

Coffee Beanery – Veterans and active duty military get a free tall cup of coffee all day on November 11 at participating locations.

Country Cookin’ – Veterans receive a free meal from 2 pm – 8 pm on Tuesday, November 14.

Cracker Barrel – Veterans get a complimentary slice of Double Chocolate Fudge Coca-Cola Cake on November 11.

Denny’s – Active, inactive and retired military personnel get a free Build Your Own Grand Slam on November 10, from 5 a.m. to noon.

Dunkin’ Donuts – Veterans and active duty military get a free donut on November 11 at participating locations.

FATZ Café – Veterans and active military get a free Calabash Chicken entree on November 11 from 9 am to 3 pm.

Fazoli’s – Active, inactive and retired military personnel get a free spaghetti with marinara or meat sauce from November 10 through 12.

Friendly’s – Friendly’s is treating veterans and active military to a free breakfast, lunch or dinner from a limited menu on November 11.

Gatti’s Pizza – Veterans and active military members will receive a free buffet or a free medium 1-topping pizza for carryout on November 11.

Golden Corral – Golden Corral Restaurants' Military Appreciation Night free dinner will be available on November 13, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Military retirees, veterans, active duty, National Guard and Reserves are all welcome.

Hooters – Veterans and active duty military get a free meal from a select menu at participating locations on November 11.

IHOP – On November 10, participating restaurants offer veterans and active duty military free Red, White and Blue pancakes.

Joe’s Crab Shack – Veterans receive a free appetizer at participating locations on November 11.

Krispy Kreme – Veterans and active duty military get a free doughnut and small coffee on November 11 at participating locations.

Krystal – Participating locations will provide a free sausage biscuit to each person who presents a military ID from 6:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on November 11.

Little Caesars – Veterans and active military members receive a free $5 Lunch Combo from 11:00a.m. to 2:00p.m. on November 11.

Logan’s Roadhouse – Veterans and active duty military get a free entree from a special menu on November 11 from 11-4.

Max & Ermas – On November 11, participating locations are offering veterans and active military personnel a free Best Cheeseburger in America.

Mimi’s Café – Veterans or active duty military personnel can select from a special menu on November 11 for free. Drink purchase required. 

O’Charley’s – Veterans and active duty service members get a free $9.99er entree on November 11.

Old Country Buffet – On November 11, veterans will enjoy a 15% discount with valid military ID or uniform. On November 13, veterans may enjoy a free buffet and beverage.

Olive Garden – Active duty military and veterans get a free meal on November 11.

On The Border – Active and retired members of the military get a free combo meal on November 11.

Outback Steakhouse – All active and retired service members a free Bloomin' Onion and a beverage on November 11. Additionally, November 12 through November 16, military members will receive 20% off their check and, beginning November 17, military will receive 10% off their check.

Quaker Steak & Lube – On November 11, veterans and current service members can receive a complimentary or discounted meal of their choice.

Red Lobster – Veterans, active duty military and reservists get a free appetizer or dessert from a limited menu on November 11.

Red Robin – Veterans and active duty military get a free Red’s Tavern Double Burger with Bottomless Steak Fries on November 11.

Ruby Tuesday – Veterans, active duty and reserve service members get a free appetizer on November 11.

Ryan’s – On November 11, veterans will enjoy a 15% discount with valid military ID or uniform. On November 13, veterans may enjoy a free buffet and beverage.

Starbucks – Veterans, active duty service members and spouses get a free tall coffee on November 11 at participating locations.

Sticky Fingers – Veterans and active military get a free pulled pork sandwich with baked beans and cole slaw during lunch on November 11.

Texas Roadhouse – Texas Roadhouse locations nationwide will offer veterans a free lunch on November 11 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Offer is good for active duty, retired or former U.S. military.

Tijuana Flats – Veterans and active duty military get a free entree on November 11.

Travel Centers of America – On November 11, veterans and active military receive a complimentary meal from a select menu including a beverage.

Twin Peaks – Veterans, active duty military and reservists will eat for free from a select menu on November 13.

Wild Wing Café – Veterans eat for free from select items on November 11 at participating locations.

Yard House – Veterans and active duty military receive a complimentary appetizer on November 11.
