Election commissioners counted one additional absentee ballot and 25 provisional ballots. The final vote was 2,606 (62.58 percent) in favor of Sunday alcohol sales and 1,558 (37.42 percent) against.
The Department of Revenue will determine when stores in the city that desire to sell beer and wine on Sunday will be permitted to begin doing so.
City of Greer voters approved Sunday alcohol sales for on-premises consumption at licensed restaurants and bars by referendum in 2010.
