RHS holds College Application Day
Riverside High School held a College Application Day on Oct. 2 to help seniors complete and file college applications. Admission Counselors from local colleges and universities were on hand to assist and answer questions.
Cummings inducted into Hall of Fame
Eric Cummings was inducted into the South Carolina Track and Cross Country Coaches Association Hall of Fame during the Awards Ceremony of the Bob Jenkins Coaches Classic at Sandhills Research Center in Columbia.
He is the youngest coach to be inducted into the Hall of Fame. He will be joining Willie Wooden, another Riverside Coach, in the Hall.
Faculty member publishes book
Riverside Faculty member Steve Johnson has published a book entitled "Unknown Wars of Asia, Africa, and the Americas that Changed History."
Students qualify for Region Orchestra
The following RHS students have qualified for Region Orchestra and will move on to compete at the All-State level: Louise Averitt, Madison Brown, Emma Buckley, Ayumi Chigusa, Ikumi Chigusa, Madeline Corvin, Makenna Farr, Neil Gramopadhye, Jalyn Haynes, Daniel Hwang, Hannah Marler, John Meza, Yusef Robinson, Emily Thames, Marquila Winston, Karen Zhao.
Bailey, Boyd honored for outstanding character
Analis Bailey and Jackson Boyd were recognized for their outstanding character at the October Coaches for Character night. RHS administrators selected Analis and Jackson for always representing Riverside High School with integrity, compassion and true Warrior spirit. Spirit Week at Riverside High School will be held Oct. 31 through November 7. Money donated during that week will go to Camp Courage.
