Riverside High School students win state recognition.

Several Riverside High School won state recognition in recent competitions:

 The Riverside Forensics Team won the 2012 State Championship at the SC Forensic Coaches Association State Tournament.

 The Riverside Forensics Team won the 2012 4A Region Title at the SC Forensic Coaches Association State Tournament.

 Riverside Student Alex Koo won the 2012 Novice Lincoln Douglas Debate Championship at the SC FCA State Tournament.

 Riverside Student Nida Ansari won the 2012 United States Extemporaneous Speaking Championship at the SC Forensic Coaches Association State Tournament.

 Riverside Student Stephanie Hong won the 2012 Original Oratory Championship at the SC Forensic Coaches Association State Tournament.

 Riverside Student Anna Parham won the 2012 Children's Literature Championship at the SC Forensic Coaches Association State Tournament.

 David Dejesa, director of Riverside Speech and Debate, led as the 2012 SC Forensic Coaches AssociationState president.
