Riverside Middle School news and announcements

The Riverside Middle School Winter Concert will be held Thursday, Dec. 13 at 6:30 p.m. The concert will feature Band, Strings and Chorus students.
Come to Riverside Middle School at 6:30 p.m on. Tuesday, Dec.18 for a holiday helping of Southern hospitality. The RMS Intermediate Drama class (aka Jr. Drama Mafia — killing you with laughter) will perform Grits and Gravy, a wacky Southern play written by Burton Bumgarner for one night only. Tickets will be sold for $3 before the play and at the door.
The Guidance Department would like to thank all of the students who participated in the 47th Annual Poetry and Poster Contest to “Celebrate 100 Years in Career Development!” They had some impressive and creative entries. Congratulations to the following RMS winners who will go on to compete at the District and State levels: 1st place - Asia Hopwood (6th grade), 2nd place - Misri Patel (6th grade), and 3rd place - Caitlyn Tackney (7th grade).
The faculty and staff of Riverside Middle played Beck Middle in a “friendly” game of basketball recently. The students from both schools enjoyed cheering for their team, and the adults were happy there were no serious injuries. The final score was Riverside 68 – Beck 60. Congratulations to all the players.
