The Riverside High School Speech and Debate team won first place at the 21st Southside Sampson-Smith-Robertson Invitational Tournament on Feb. 8. Competition was from the area and one team from California.

The awards ceremony will be held Saturday at 2 p.m., at the University of South Carolina Law School Auditorium in Columbia.
