Greenville City Council presented a plaque to Lauren Morelli at a meeting to honor her PPK accomplishments and.

Lauren Morelli, a sixth-grade student at Riverside Middle School, recently competed in the Carolina Panthers' NFL Punt, Pass and Kick (PPK) Team Championship competition in Charlotte. She earned the honor by winning the Greenville County PPK in the 10-11 girls division and then swept through the sectionals at Pickens.

Greenville City Council presented a plaque to Morelli at a meeting to honor her accomplishments and wish her well.

Lauren and her family all attended the Panthers-Falcons game on Sunday with her grandparents. During halftime Morelli and the competitors performed an exhibition. 

Ice cream sundaes will be sold Friday, Jan. 4 in the school’s cafeteria. The cost is $2.

The next Student Council meeting will be held on Jan. 16 in the school cafeteria. All officers and homeroom representatives are encouraged to attend.
