Road repairs and repaving the outside southbound lane of Highway 14 from Highway 29/Wade Hampton Blvd. to McLeskey-Todd Pharmacy near Poinsett Street will be performed Nov. 4 – 18.

Drivers should expect delays, according to the announcement by Greer Commission of Public Works. The contract price is $193,000, according to CPW.

Contractors with Greer CPW, Ashmore Brothers, a division of Roger’s Group, have been granted to contract.

Greer CPW installed a 24-inch water line that ran from the Lake Cunningham Water Treatment Plant to the existing elevated water storage tank located behind the pharmacy on Few Street, in 2005.

The material used to backfill the trench above the pipe has settled over the years, causing the overlying road surface to sink, according to CPW.
