Orlando Rodriguez, a third baseman with Greer High School, signed letter of intent to play college baseball at Belmont Abbey.

Rodriguez said Belmont having a varsity and jayvee team was attractive for him. He said the college was close enough to home and the campus and small student and teacher ratio factored in his decision.

Rodriguez said he will major in financial management.
