Shooting victim was father of 2, chef

A Greer man who was a father of two and a former chef was identified as the shooting victim Halloween night.

Adam Vazquez, 39, of Glen Aire Drive, and a former chef at Sonny’s Grill, was killed at the Speedwash Laundromat Thursday.

The Greer Police Department is still investigating the shooting that occurred around 6:25 p.m. Spartanburg County Coroner Rusty Clevenger said Vazquez was pronounced dead at the scene at E. Arlington Ave.

Marquez leaves two children ages 7 and 14.

The Greer Police Department reported it was continuing to follow leads. No new evidence was reported

The GPD requests that if anyone has any information about this shooting or who may have been present in the area of the shooting to call 864-848-2151.
