Southern Dance Connection has been selected to represent South Carolina at the 26th Annual Dance Excellence – International Festival – in Los Angeles.
Lindsay Roberts, owner of the Greer dance studio, and the dancers are the only representatives from the South Carolina invited to the April 9-15, 2017 festival.
“I didn’t anticipate a response since only one studio per state is invited,” Roberts said.
The festival invites dancers and studios from around the world. Classes and workshops are with some of the most contemporary teachers and choreographers in the entertainment industry.
Dancers will perform at Disneyland, International Performance Boards and end the festival with a red-carpet gala.
Roberts said the festival is for dancers 9-years and older. “It comes at the perfect time, spring break for us,” she said. “While the dancers are in camp the parents can sightsee.”
