“On Veterans Day, I remember everybody that came before us and fought for us,” said Donnell Wilkins, Patient Care Associate who is retired from the Air Force. “It’s good to see veterans being recognized and continuously being recognized.”
For the second year, SRHS honored its veterans with a luncheon and gave each veteran a commemorative Challenge Coin.
“I was in the Army for seven years and it was the best decision of my life. I was stationed in Germany in 1989 when the Berlin Wall came down. It was very exciting,” said Kim Westley of Physicians Billing Service. “I have been with SRHS for 14 years, and I am so glad they are doing this. I appreciate it so much.”
Executive leadership and other staff served lunch to the veterans to show their appreciation for their service.
“We appreciate our veterans and their service to the community and the hospital,” said SRHS CEO Bruce Holstien.
