Students from Mrs. Amy Rehn Gosnell's Washington Center @ Hollis class decorated flower pots for Mother's Day. They used a pour painting technique to produce a rainbow waterfall design.

Students enjoyed making color choices, practiced identifying the color yellow (class color of the month) from a field of two, practiced grasping, holding, squeezing and releasing.

Students also learned about the four elements to make a plant grow – soil, sun, seeds and water – and planting flowers in these colorful pots. They practiced identifying the four elements, exploring the textures with sensory input and participated in mixing them together.

Students experienced the joy of learning and giving.
