The Shoppes has its formal open house next Thursday, March 15 from 5:30-8:30 p.m. at 211 Trade Street. It's two store fronts down from where Wanda Garcia, the Shoppes' owner, first began her popular business.
Garcia has nearly tripled the number of business owners from the 15 she previously hosted. The move has created more foot traffic along Trade and Poinsett Streets which translates into more business for the downtown restaurants and merchants.
Appetizers, wine and music will be featured at the open house.
Among the featured arts and crafts are jewelry, glass and wood works, bath and body soaps and oils with a variety of fragrances and handcrafted items.
