Therapy dogs coming to Greenville Technical College

Published on Friday, November 21, 2014

Therapy dogs are coming to Greenville Technical College to help reduce student stress during exams.

Three dogs and their owners will be in the library on the Barton Campus on Thursday, Dec. 4 from 10 a.m. to noon. The dogs are part of Therapy Dogs Incorporated, an organization through which volunteers take their dogs to visit colleges, schools, hospitals, nursing homes, and any facilities where interactions with dogs will benefit people.

During these visits, people are invited to pet the dog. Some dogs do simple tricks to entertain and to help people take their minds off their problems.
