The University of South Carolina Upstate maintained its rankings as No. 2 Top Public Regional Colleges in the South and No. 4 for Best College in the South for Veterans, according to the U.S. News and World Report.
USC Upstate is tied for No. 11 in Ethnic and Racial Diversity among Regional Colleges in the South.
USC Upstate was named a Military Friendly Campus this year, has experienced a 31 percent increase in veterans and a 50 percent increase in dependents who have graduated from USC Upstate since the May 2014.
More than 30 percent of the student enrollment is minority, which reflects the University’s long-standing commitment to diversity, and that is reflective of the Upstate region.
“The University’s 40+ bachelor’s degree programs in the liberal arts and sciences, business administration, nursing, and teacher education, and master’s degrees in education, informatics, and nursing continue to attract a diverse and dynamic community of approximately 6,000 students from 26 states and 17 countries,” Dr. Clif Flynn, provost and senior vice chancellor for academic affairs.
