The event will include professional development workshops, a job fair and a networking hour for all participants and employers.
Goodwill will be hosting pre-event seminars to prepare and train veteran participants in resume writing, interviewing and digital abilities.
“Events like this Veterans Career Fair are important for the Upstate community,” says Charlie Hall, president of Upstate Warrior Solution. “Many people don’t realize that military and military spouses operate daily in a unique, demanding environment while on duty. Once discharged or retired, reacclimating into civilian life – specifically the professional business industry – can be challenging to articulate how their specific skills and expertise translate into civilian jobs. Events and workshops like this help our veteran community get the resources they need to meet with employers and present themselves as qualified candidates.”
