Washington Center crowns Valentine's Day king and queen

Washington Center Valentine Queen, Britney Herbert, is congratulated by student Jesse James during the school’s recent Valentine Pageant and Dance.

Twenty-four students ages 16 and older put on their best attire for Washington Center's annual Valentine’s Day pageant and dance.

The pageant ended with the crowning of the queen, Britney Herbert, and king, Paul Barnette. Nominees were limited to seniors and voted upon by all students at Washington Center. 

Washington Center staff, family, friends and students from Sara Collins Elementary School paraded down the red carpet with their Christ Church escort.  

Washington Center para-professional, Ed Glenn, emceed the event, providing students with their individual spotlight while highlighting their distinct hobbies and/or characteristics.
