Weekend performances will put a wrap on ?Annie?

Annie” wraps up its run this weekend at the J. Harley Bonds Career Center. The Greer Children’s Theatre is cast for the production presented by the Greer Cultural Arts.


Performances are Friday 7 p.m. Saturday 7 p.m.; Sunday 2 p.m. Tickets are $13 for adults, $10 for students and seniors and children under 5-years is $6. Call 848-5383 or showtix4u.com for tickets.

GREENE’S ART SHOW: Clint “Pepper” Greene Art Show is on exhibit at Greer Heritage Museum at 106 S. Main Street on Friday and Saturdays, through Dec. 3 from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. Admission is free. The museum is at 106 S. Main Street. Call 877-3377. 

GIVING THANKS ART SHOW: An exhibit showcasing Greer’s young artists from grades K-5 through 12th grade is displayed in the City Hall lobby until Thanksgiving holidays. 

RUSSIAN ART AT HERITAGE GREEN:
Faberge’s Imperial Easter Egg is among the Russian iconic art items on display at the Museum and Gallery at Heritage Green (story Oct. 25) located at the 200 block of Buncombe in downtown Greenville. GREER OPRY HOUSE:
Friday nights “Overtime Band” with Betty Gentry. Saturday nights “Classic Country Band” with Ed Burrell. Bands begin performing at 8 p.m. Admission is $9. The venue is at 107 Cannon Street. Call 801-1999.

RHYTHM & BREWS:
The Carolina Players perform Friday night and Mac Arnold performs Saturday at Rhythm and Brews at 213 Trade Street. Hours are 4-2 a.m. on weekends. Call 877-1990. 

THE MASON JAR:
The Long Road Home plays Friday night with Burning Bright performing on Saturday. Hours on the weekend are 11:30 a.m. – 2 a.m. During the week the restaurant/night club offers: Tuesday Trivia Night with Julie Brown at 8 p.m.; Wednesday open mic with Lee Allen, 8 p.m.; and Thursday is karaoke night at 8 p.m. Visit 202 Trade Street. THE PEACE CENTER:
Audra McDonald will perform an evening of Broadway, from Gershwin to Sondheim Friday at 8 p.m. She is the winner of four Tony Awards and star of TV's Private Practice. The running time is 90 minutes with no intermission. Tickets are $35, $45 and $55. Call 467-3030.

ACME GENERAL STORE:
A free Beer and Wine Tasting will be held Thursday at Acme General Store at 201 Trade Street from 6-8 p.m. 

WILD ACE PIZZA AND PUB: Name that tune trivia with Andrew Shaw is held each Thursday night beginning at 7:30. On Wednesday’s the restaurant features a weekly BOGO (buy one, get one free) dinner special. Visit 109 Trade Street or call 879-6900. 

BIN 112: A wine tasting is scheduled Tuesday beginning at 4:30 p.m. Three wines are tasted with wine tasting notes available to each guest. The restaurant is at 112 Trade Street. New Year’s reservations are now being accepted. Call 848-2112. 

STYX, CHAMPION SKATERS AT BI-LO: Improv-Ice, featuring four top male and four top female skaters, is coming to the BI-LO Center on Dec. 15 at 7:30 p.m. Styx will perform during the skaters’ performances. The male skaters are: Michael Weiss, three-time U.S. National Champion; Johnny Weir, three-time U.S. National Champion; Ryan Bradley, 2011 U.S. National Champion and Jeremy Abbott, two-time U.S. National Champion. The female skaters are: Sasha Cohen, 2006 Olympic Silver Medalist; Nancy Kerrigan, two-time Olympic medalist; Alissa Czisny, 2011 U.S. National Champion; and Mirai Nagasu, 2008 U.S. National Champion.
