A World War II veteran and original member of the Taylors Volunteer Fire Department died Thursday.
U.S. Navy veteran John D. Riddle, Sr., served aboard the aircraft carrier Intrepid that fought campaigns in the Pacific Theater during WW II.
Riddle retired from Ashmore Brothers and was the first volunteer with the Taylors Fire Department.
