Investigators with the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office have arrested 29 year-old, Nikia Jovon Allen in connection with the shooting death of Nathaniel Johnson.
The incident occurred around10 a.m. Monday after Johnson drove to the suspect’s residence, located at 627 Scottswood Road, in Taylors. The purpose of Johnson driving to that residence is still under investigation at this time.
The City of Greer Parks and Recreation Department will host its annual Eggtastic Easter Event Saturday March 24 from 11a.m-1p.m. at Century Park. Infants-12-year-olds can participate in egg hunts offered continuously throughout event.
Hunts are split by age and only 20 kids are allowed to hunt each time to assure the safety of participants.

Fatz Cafe parent Cafe Enterprises Inc. has named Jim Mazany, former president of Joe’s Crab Shack, its next president and CEO.

John William Cowan, 61, of Taylors was killed when a 2008 Ford pickup, driven by a 43-year-old man, ran off the side of the road on Locust Hill Road Saturday and hit Cowan, according to law enforcement reports.
