Blue Ridge’s Jordan Ludd earned a second place finish when he lost in the championship match.
The 7th Annual Miss Blue Ridge Relay for Life Pageant is scheduled for March 16, at 6 p.m. at the Blue Ridge High School Auditorium.
The BRHS Air Force Junior ROTC is the pageant’s sponsor. This year’s theme, in partnership with Relay for Life, is “Wave Goodbye to Cancer”.

Marc Western, gold medalist, Elizabeth McAbee, silver, and Darrin Anderson and Brady O’Boyle, bronze, took the online test in December. The students were coached by Jim Westcot, Latin teacher.
The Blue Ridge girls were ousted, 66-33, by Dreher Monday from the Class 3A girls basketball playoffs in a first round game. Dreher is the defending state champions.
Dreher advances to the second round Thursday night in a home game against Seneca. The Lady Bobcats beat Region 3 champion Union County, 44-40.

Greer plays at Lower Richland at 7:30 p.m. and Eastside hosts Dreher at 7 p.m. in boys games Tuesday. Winners advance to the second round on Friday.
Caleb Bennett, 2012 graduate of Blue Ridge High School, was named to the Dean’s List at The Citadel for the fall 2012-2013 semester.
Bennett, a freshman, is seeking a bachelor's degree in Business Administration.
