The 2017-18 International Ballet has announced its signature fall concert, traditional holiday classic and a full-length ballet in the spring.

North Greenville University mass communication professor Dr. Rick Sparks is leveraging his skills as a pianist/composer and his experience as a broadcaster into daily airplay on SiriusXM satellite radio.
Sparks’ new piano album, “Nightfall London,” charted in the top-10 this summer on Zone Music Reporter’s world radio airplay chart. The album is Sparks’ third instrumental album since 2014, and is being played on broadcast and online radio stations around the world, including the “Spa” channel on SiriusXM.
The Thursday Afternoon Acting Group (TAAG) at the University of South Carolina Upstate is hosting an after school theatre program on Thursdays, 4-6 p.m. in the Studio Theatre. The first class is Thursday.
Registration is for students ages eight to 18. The cost is $75 for the semester-long program.
Two entertainment groups have been added to Railfest during its Sept. 30 celebration of Greer’s railroad roots at Greer City Park.

The six-concert series is free and will be held at Riverside Baptist Church at 1249 S. Suber Road. The programs are 7:30-8:30 p.m.
The Greer Christmas Parade is scheduled Sunday, Dec. 3 at 2:30 p.m.
“Christmas at the Movies” is this year’s theme. Proceeds benefit Greer Relief.
