The Abner Creek Baptist Church Summer Drama Camp is scheduled June 26 – 30 with a final performance on June 30 at 6:30 pm.
The cost of camp is $40 per child up to a $100 family maximum. All children having finished 1st – 6th grade are invited.
The 2018-2019 Broadway nine-show season at the Peace Center boast a combined 32 Tony Awards, including the 2017 winner for Best Musical, “Dear Evan Hansen”, and the 2017 winner for Best Musical Revival, “Hello, Dolly!”, starring Broadway legend Betty Buckley.
The season also includes two previous Best Musical Tony Award winners, including the South Carolina premiere of “Hamilton”. Back by popular demand, “The Book of Mormon” returns to the Peace Center.
The Tony nominated musical “Waitress” is looking for two young girls to perform the role of “Lulu” for the duration of the Greenville engagement.
The show will premiere at the Peace Center May 8-13.
Byrnes finished second in the overall championship at the regulation drill competition last weekend at the Pendleton High School JROTC and Lights of Hope competitions.
The Byrnes color guard won first place.
The City of Greer Parks and Recreation Department will host its annual Eggtastic Easter Event Saturday March 24 from 11a.m-1p.m. at Century Park. Infants-12-year-olds can participate in egg hunts offered continuously throughout event.
Hunts are split by age and only 20 kids are allowed to hunt each time to assure the safety of participants.
