The investigation into the shooting involving a Greer Police Department officer Wednesday night is being investigated by SLED.
The incident sent the officer and another person to the hospital Wednesday night. An update from the police department Thursday reported that the officer was treated and released from the hospital early Thursday morning and is recuperating from his injuries. The officer did not receive any gunshot wounds.The driver of the vehicle received what were described as non-life-threatening injuries and is still being treated at the hospital. Detectives with the Greer Police Department located and arrested a man suspected in an attempted murder on Sunday.
Officers with the Greer Police Department responded to a reported shooting that occurred at 220 Biblebrook Drive at approximately 1:38 p.m. Sunday.
Officers found one victim who had suffered a gunshot wound and was transported by Spartanburg EMS to Spartanburg Regional.
