Three J. Harley Bonds Career Center students won awards at a welding competition in Jacksonville, Fla., last month.
Josh Neal of Riverside High School (second place), Miguel Hilario (third) and Edwin Trejo (eighth) of Wade Hampton High School were awarded prizes for their placements.
The Tulsa Welding School held the competition at its Jacksonville campus for about 250 seniors from 13 states. Five Bonds students participated.
Scholarship money, welding machines, helmets and jackets were awarded to the winning students.
