GE engineers visit math classes
RMS recently celebrated National Engineering Week. GE Engineers came to math classes to share their careers with students and tied in activities that they use in the workplace to what the students are learning in their math classes.
Band students qualify for All-County Band
The following RMS Band Students qualified by audition for the Greenville All-County Band and will attend a clinic on Feb. 28 at Riverside High School: Briana Marler, Katie Childers, Rachel Corron, Colette Romp, Akilah Abdullah, Elyse Hartzog, Jake Woodman, Jordan Drewello, Alex Riese, Natalie Boulos, Chase Blackwell, Annalie King, Michael Schnee, Tyler Gillespie, Jack Nolen and Brendan Smith.
Students participate in Junior Book Award election
Riverside Middle School students read successfully completed interviews on at least three of the 20 S.C. Junior Book Award titles this year. These students participated in a statewide election where they voted for their favorite title of the books that they read to determine the winning state book for middle schools. Conway Belangia from the Greenville County Election Commission came and spoke to the students.
