Shelly Bierwiler has joined Greer Community Ministries as the events coordinator.
Zach Holcombe has joined Greer Communities as the new accountant.
“We are excited to welcome Shelley and Zach to the team,” said Stephen Smith, executive director. “They both have talents that will help the ministry continue to thrive.”
Bierwiler previously served as executive director of the Eastside Family YMCA for the past three years. Before that she served over 15 years with the American Red Cross locally and in Corning and Endicott, N.Y. as executive director and development director. She also served on the Advanced Public Affairs Team for the national organizational.
“I am both blessed and excited about serving with Greer Community Ministries,” Bierwiler said.
Bierwiler is a graduate of SUNY at Brockport with a bachelor’s degree in professional studies, recreation and leisure activities.
Holcombe previously worked at A Child’s Haven as the accounting and human resources specialist. He is an honors graduate of Tri-County Technical College with an associate’s degree in business management/accounting.
“It is such an honor to work alongside such amazing people who do such great work,” Holcombe said. “In my short time here, I’ve already seen so many people in the Greer community helped. I feel blessed God brought me to GCM and is allowing me to serve him by helping others.”
