Bojangles’ announced its customers raised a record-breaking $584,689 for the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) during its 14th annual Shamrocks Against Dystrophy in-store fundraiser. That provides 730 children affected by neuromuscular diseases to MDA summer camp.
“We’re thankful for the support of our loyal customers whose generosity has helped provide funds for hundreds of incredible children to experience a magical week at MDA Summer Camp,” Bojangles’ President and CEO Clifton Rutledge, said.
The camp offers children a wide range of activities specially designed for young people who have limited mobility or use wheelchairs. Although the camp is structured, programs are conducted in a relaxed atmosphere that gives campers an unmatched opportunity to develop lifelong friendships, share interests and build self-confidence.”
An MDA partner of 17 years, Bojangles’ has raised more than $4.5 million to support healthcare and research efforts through the fundraiser and the MDA Golf Classic each fall.
