The Greer Christmas Parade is scheduled for Dec. 8 at 2:30 p.m. with the theme Classic Christmas Stories.
An Elf Fun Run is scheduled at 2 p.m. Families, runners, groups, businesses and schools are invited to run the parade route. Entry fee is $10 with deadline Thursday Dec. 5 and $15 on day of the parade. All participants are invited to dress for the holiday occasion.
The parade is 1.1 miles beginning at Poinsett Street and Memorial Drive and ending at North Main Street and Cunningham Drive. The parade benefits Greer Relief.
Best Float and Best Non-Float awards will be announced.
Entry fees are:
• $50 non-commercial/organization/non-profit registration
• $100 commercial/business registration
• $625 rent a float from Greer Relief
• $700 rent a float from Greer Relief with sound
Entries and fees deadline received or postmarked on Nov. 27, after that date entries will be assessed $50 late entry fee.
