CPW is only municipal election in November; write-in deadline comes and goes
Today's noon deadline passed without a notice of any planned write-in campaign for the November election. That means Greer Commission of Public Works will have the only municipal election with candidates incumbent Eugene Gibson and Tom Kriese on the ballot for one seat for a 6-year term.

The three sitting members of Greer City Council – Wayne Griffin (District 2), Dumas (District 4) and Judy Albert (District 6) – were unopposed are considered the unofficial winners. Those results will be made official upon election certification in November.

The Greer general election is Tuesday, Nov. 5.  Voter registration deadline is Oct. 4. To register, one must contact the County Board of Voter Registration.

This is a nonpartisan election and no party affiliation will be placed on the ballot.
