The Greer Commission of Public Works (CPW) has made personnel changes in concert with its newly-established Comprehensive Strategic Plan.

The moves are made to better serve the utility’s customers, General Manager Jeff Tuttle said, in making the announcement Wednesday. All changes are effective June 15.

“We are excited about these changes and about the implications of our strategic plan,” Tuttle said. “Our focus is on becoming the leading provider of energy, water, and related services in the southeast. These changes, and the initiatives in our plan, will push us steadily in that direction.”

CPW’s plan implementation begins after the organizational changes take place in mid-June.

• Farrah Lister will assume the role of Customer Service and Billing Manager. Formerly CPW’s chief of staff, Lister will be responsible for all customer interactions, including the lobby, phone center, billing, and collections.

• Fredia Snow will be CPW’s Chief of Staff. Snow will be responsible for implementation of the comprehensive strategic plan, including efforts to enhance organizational efficiencies, company training assessments, and other major project initiatives. Snow has been with CPW for more than 10 years and was previously Customer Service Manager.

• Chuck Reynolds, Finance Manager, will begin directing the company’s natural gas purchasing and hedging strategy. CPW’s hedging strategy is designed to minimize the impact of fluctuations in the natural gas market. Energy Manager Bruce Yerkes continues his responsibilities for natural gas procurement and will report to Reynolds.

• Stefanie Hyder is the newly created Executive and Operations Support Manager. Hyder adds duties as the secretary to the Board of Commissioners and executive support for the general manager. She continues her responsibilities for operations support and dispatch.

CPW’s Comprehensive Strategic Plan was developed over five months through collaboration of key staff members from all departments. The plan defines CPW’s core strategy areas – safety, customer service, growth, operational excellence and organization. The team also developed a new mission – "to exceed customer expectations".

“Our new plan is customer-focused and continues CPW’s tradition of providing exceptionally high quality utilities to those we serve,” Tuttle said. “The directives in the new plan will help us exceed customer expectations in everything we do.”
