Cuttin’ Loose Hair Salon has been owned and operated by Connie Center for 24 years now. Cuttin’ Loose recently moved to its new location at 1243 Locust Hill Road in Greer. The hair salon offers a variety of services plus The Stitch Boutique, which has a great selection of boutique and personalized items.
Cuttin' Loose Hair Salon will have their open house starting Tuesday, October 25 through Friday, October 28 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Also on Saturday, October 29 from 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. Cuttin’ Loose invites you to drop in to meet the stylists and see their new place. They will be offering 25 percent off new client hair services during the week of open house.
"Cuttin' Loose Hair Salon was established in 1992," Center said. "I've always wanted to do hair. While in high school, I received my cosmetologist license. A couple of years later I started Cuttin’ Loose Hair Salon at our old location, which I was at for 24 years.
I don't know of anything else I would want do other than hair. Our new location for Cuttin' Loose, that my husband and I just bought, is a true blessing from God. We opened up at the new location on August 9.”
Connie said that the new location has helped business thrive.
Cuttin' Loose Hair Salon is widely known in the Greer community. The salon offers a variety of services to suit every hair care need of their customers and is always looking for new clients.
"We do haircuts for the whole family," Center said. "We do hair for men, women and children. Some services that we offer at the salon are: hair color, perms, waxing and basically anything else you may want done that is hair related."
Cuttin' Loose, in addition to hair services, also offer hair care products that are available for purchase. “Some of the products that we carry are Redken, Kenra and Matrix," Center said.
Center has a passion for hair and she wants to use that passion to give you terrific service and a hairstyle that suits you. She wouldn't have it any other way.
In addition to Connie's great service, she has an amazing staff who also loves what they do.

Gloria Lynch
Gloria has worked with Connie at Cuttin' Loose for four years and has been doing hair for 32 years.
"Since we have moved to the new location business has been better," Lynch said. "We have more walk-ins, more call-ins, and we have been doing really well."
Gloria attended school in Spartanburg in 1982 and has owned her own salon in the past. She is also a color specialist.
Vicki Humphries
"I started with Connie in August," Humphries said. "Prior to that I taught cosmetology for 16 years."
Humphries is a hairstylist that specializes in up-dos and color.
"I was actually on the USA World Team and traveled to Moscow and placed third in the world in hair fashion," Humphries said. "In 2006, I was featured on the 'Today Show.’"
Reagan Cook
Reagan is a newcomer to Cuttin' Loose and we are excited to have her at the salon.
"I'm just looking forward to working with the girls and building my clientele," Reagan said.
Reagan, who has been doing hair for six years, is a graduate of Greenville Technical College.
Another terrific amenity offered by Cuttin' Loose Hair Salon is The Stitch Boutique, which is owned and operated by Connie and her daughter, Whitney Jordan. Jordan also does Cuttin’ Loose Hair Salon’s advertising, marketing, social media, and keeps the website up to date.
"Most of our items are personalized, whether it is embroidery, vinyl or engraving," Jordan said. "We offer a variety of items such as purses, hats, shoes, scarves, clothing and engraved jewelry.
“The Stitch Boutique is now offering lotions and hand soaps made by Farmhouse Fresh," Jordan said. Farmhouse Fresh items are all-natural, vegan, and gluten free skin products that are made in Texas.
"Our goal is always to provide great service to our customers with a fast turnaround. Most of our items are ready for pick-up within 2-3 days unless it is an item that has been special ordered. We also offer shipping if needed."
"My mother, Connie, has wanted a boutique in her salon for a few years now and God opened a door for us to be able to do this together as partners," Jordan said. "It is a true honor to work alongside my mother who has been doing great business for the past 24 years in the Greer area."
"This is a trendy boutique that we offer," Center said. "I've always wanted to do something in the boutique line but I've never had the space before. I really didn't have the time because I was busy devoting myself to hair so my daughter, Whitney, stepped in and started doing this with me. Along with working full time at a dental office, Whitney is also a new mother to Grady who is 9-months-old."
"The Stitch Boutique wants to be able to reach out to the ones around us and help them with their personalized gifts for birthdays, holidays, anniversaries or maybe just a surprise for a loved one,” Jordan said. “We love when we can put together a customer's idea for them or for a special person in their life. It's the little things that make life big."
