D&D Motors will donate a 2023 Ford Explorer and a 2023 Lincoln Navigator to Spartanburg Community College's Ford ASSETT Program on Friday. Skip Davenport, right, is the President of D&D Motors.
The special donation is scheduled for Friday at 9 a.m. at SCC.
The donation, valued more than $125,000, is to enhance the training and development of future automotive technicians at Spartanburg Community College.
“D&D Motors (Ford) is excited to be able to participate in donating one 2023 Ford Explorer and one 2023 Lincoln Navigator to Spartanburg Community College, said Davenport, President of D&D Motors. "The vehicles are being donated to SCC's Ford ASSETT Program to support the training of the next generation of automotive technicians. We have sponsored many students in their automotive education and are happy to be able to support the future of this highly successful program.”
Davenport has been active in the community as past president of the Greater Greer Education Board.
D&D Motors has a history of supporting educational programs and initiatives that contribute to the community.
