Sixth-ranked Dorman defeated Greer in a boys basketball game Friday night at Roebuck, 80-48.
Dorman neutralized Greer’s leading scorer Magic Moody, holding him to four points, all in the first quarter.
Sam Gravley led Greer with 14 points, 12 scored in the first half.
Greer’s 48 points fell one short of Dorman’s 47 it had by he end of the first half.
Greer is 3-7 and does not play again until Dec. 27 in the C. Dan Joyner Class at Greenville High School.
Dorman, 7-2 overall, had three players in double figures – Gabe Bryant with 12 points and Harris Finley and Tae Cannon with 11 points each.
Dorman built a 19-13 first quarter lead but exploded for 28 points in the second quarter for a 47-26 lead.
There was no report on the Greer girls game.
