"The Foundation's recent Education Gala completed one portion of our fundraising program," Margaret Burch, chairman of the foundation, said. "Thanks to the generosity of the sponsors, donors, and participants of the event, grant funds are now available for projects, programs, and needs of the twenty-seven eligible schools and non-profit educational organizations."
Burch said the competitive grant program is seeking creative proposals "to enhance, inspire, and improve the educational opportunities for children in our community."
The Greater Greer Education Foundation will award grants up to $1,500.
