A new family medicine practice has opened in the Medical Office Building at Pelham Medical Center.
It’s a satellite office of physicians from the Medical Group of the Carolinas (MGC), Spartanburg Regional Healthcare Systems physician group.
What it means to patients is that the new Pelham office, 2755 S. Highway 14, will be sharing the physicians network with the group’s Five Forks office.
Doctors Nick Ulmer and Jan Kneeland will see patients on Tuesdays and Thursdays with Kneeland accepting new patients.
• Dr. Kneeland received her medical degree from the Medical College of Ohio. She completed her residency in family medicine at Marshall University School of Medicine. Kneeland speaks Spanish. She practiced obstetrics with family medicine in her first six years in practice and continues to have a special interest in women’s health issues as well as pediatrics.
• Dr. Ulmer received his medical degree from the Medical University of South Carolina.
He completed his residency in family medicine at Self Regional Healthcare. His practice focuses on chronic disease management and prevention.
The Five Forks office added Dr. Raymond Romano, who is accepting new patients. He received his medical degree from Nova Southeastern University, College of Osteopathic Medicine in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. He completed his Family Medicine residency at Spartanburg Medical Center. He also performs minor skin procedures.
