Final Gateway Project detours before final bridge opening Friday
Drivers should expect detours this week along the Gateway Project to allow for the final bridge opening.

On Wednesday at 9 p.m., the current I-385 Southbound access to Woodruff Road will be closed to prepare for the opening of the new ramp to Woodruff Road from I-385 Southbound on Friday.

Traffic will be detoured to Exit 34 (Butler Road) where drivers will be turned around, crossing the bridge to I-385 Northbound and then taking Exit 35 to Woodruff Road. The opening of this new ramp on Friday will mark the completion of the final bridge on the Gateway Project.

Access to this new ramp will be approximately three-fourths of a mile closer to Greenville from its current location. Drivers are reminded to observe all signing, markings, and speed limits throughout the work zone.
