D'Anta Fleming will live forever in Limestone College football lore as being part of the first scoring drive in the Saints' history. Fleming played his high school football at Greer.

 

 

D’Anta Fleming’s 16-yard run highlighted a drive that led to Limestone College’s first points scored at its first football game played Saturday.

Fleming, a redshirt-freshman, who played for Greer High School, executed an end around to set up Jonathan Ray’s 33-yard field goal with 7:32 remaining in the third quarter.

Limestone lost its first football game played to visiting Wingate University, 38-10. The game was played in front of 5,834 spectators at Gaffney High School.

Redshirt-freshman DeAnthony Neal (Winston-Salem, N.C.) scored Limestone’s first touchdown on a 1-yard dive early in the fourth quarter.
