BRAKES (Be Responsible And Keep Everyone Safe), a free teen driving school, will be held at the BMW Performance Center on Saturday.

The non-Profit organization teen driving school is a 4-hour defensive driving school for teens 15-19 years old who already have their learner’s permit or driver’s license and at least 30 hours of driving experience. Parents are required to attend.

Professional driving instructors will train the teenagers on key defensive driving techniques including: emergency lane change, panic stops, skid control and distracted driving.

BRAKES was founded by NHRA Full Throttle Series drag racer Doug Herbert in 2008 after Herbert's two sons were killed in a car accident.
