Investigators with the Greenville County Sheriff's Office made an arrest in connection with the murder of Michez Fowler, who was shot and killed Monday afternoon.
Investigators opened an investigation after Fowler’s body was found next to a wrecked vehicle near 6 Valentine Street. Fowler was found with at least one gunshot wound that investigators have learned was a result of a domestic-related dispute.
Tuesday afternoon, investigators arrested 58-year-old Michael Lewis Moore for Murder and Possession of a Weapon during a Violent Crime after learning he shot and killed Fowler while he was riding in a vehicle that Fowler was driving. After shooting her, the vehicle came to a stop when it struck a fence, and Moore ran from the scene. He was later identified and arrested at his home at 104 Honour Street. Moore was taken to the Greenville County Detention Center, where he is awaiting a bond hearing.
