Haley visited Greer earlier this fall when she made a stopover at Grace Hall to visit Greer chamber members and associates.
PELHAM POWER BREAKFAST: In GreerToday, the Village Hospital hosts a networking breakfast for Greater Greer Chamber of Commerce members and guests at 250 Westmoreland Road. The event is free for members and $10 for non-members from 8-9 a.m.
BUSINESS AFTER HOURS: Thursday, 5-7 p.m. at Hildrup United Van Lines, 750 Berry Shoals Road in Duncan. Food and drinks are free for the popular networking event. RSVP the chamber at 877-3131.
THE STOMPING GROUNDS: The coffee and wine bar is scheduled to open in December, in time for the holidays. Breakfast and lunch will be served with coffee and wine served into the evening events. The business is at 208 Trade Street, the site of the former Gallery on Trade Street. The hours will be: Monday-Thursday, 7 a.m. – 10 p.m. Friday-Saturday, 7 a.m. – 11 p.m. Sunday, 8 a.m. – 2 p.m.
GREER HOSTS CHAMBER RETREAT: The Gaston County (N.C.) Chamber of Commerce held its retreat at the City Hall Events Center last month. John Kimbrell, president and CEO of the Gaston chamber, wanted to share with chamber members how a municipal building can also maintain a successful event facility. Kimbrell was Greer’s president/CEO preceding Allen Smith.
ASHMORE BROTHERS RECOGNIZED: The chamber posthumously recognized Richard Ashmore, Sr. and the Ashmore Brothers for supporting Junior Leadership Greer. The program, underwritten by the Greer business, is designed to identify and select potential leaders from among area sophomores and juniors in surrounding community high schools. Ashmore, Sr., died in June.
