The perimeter around Greer High School is a lot cleaner on Gap Creek Road and Country Club Road today.

The Greer football team walked the roads picking up trash, dead animals, food and unmentionables Friday. Students have Friday and Monday off from school.

Greer Head Football Coach Will Young traditionally requires the collection of trash as an annual community service.

There were no valuable finds reported early in the morning like a usable cell phone last year that was turned into the front office.

Young said, by following the trail of the litter, he reasons items are bought at Willis convenience store at Hwy. 14 North, eaten along East Gap and Country Club roads and thrown out at the end of Country Club Road near N. Main Street.
