The Greer High Booster Club is accepting nominations for induction into the Athletic Hall of Fame.
Nominees must have graduated from Greer High a minimum of five years before becoming eligible. Criteria are based on athletic accomplishments as a high school student.
Nominations must include the candidate’s specific accomplishments as an athlete and any postseason honors received, such as All-Region, All-State, Shrine Bowl and North-South All-Star games.
Persons submitting nominations should include their name and contact phone number.
The deadline for nominations is Monday, Sept. 7. They must be submitted in writing to GHS Hall of Fame, PO Box 956, Greer, SC 29652.
Tentatively the Greer High Hall of Fame ceremony is set for Friday, Sept. 25, at Dooley Field when Greer plays Greenwood. The ceremony is contingent upon high school sports being able to play due to the COVID-19 pandemic. There are plans to still honor this year’s inductees in a ceremony to be determined if fall sports are not allowed.
