The School Resource Officer and school administration were notified on the afternoon of Friday, September 6, that a student made a verbal threat during a class the day prior. The
Resource Officer and Administration immediately began investigating the threat, resulting in the student being charged with Student Threats and removed from the school. The threat was isolated to Greer Middle School only.
The Greer Police Department urges students to immediately notify School Administration or School Resource Officers when made aware of a threat to the safety of others within theschool.
